Text Box: Got questions?

We’ve got answer to some of the most frequently asked questions.

How do we know that this is legitimate?

You can be assured that this is not just some scam because we have not asked for your personal or financial information. We’ve asked you to make donations through the security and protection of PayPal. We’re just a family in America trying to bring home the missing pieces of our family and hearts.

Why would you adopt from Ukraine when there are so many children available in the US Foster Care system?

We went to Ukraine to work with kids at orphans camps. We didn’t go to Ukraine to adopt a child, she found us. God sent us to the other side of the earth to teach children that He has a plan for their lives, and revealed to us His plan for ours, too. All I can say to explain it, is that when you meet your child you will know it, no matter where in the world you are standing.

What costs will my donation be used to cover?

The attorney’s and court’s fee for adopting two related children - $10,000.
Estimated airfare (2 adults roundtrip, 2 kids one-way home) - $6,000-$7,000.
Estimated transportation, translator, lodging, etc. for 4-6 weeks - $5,000.
Giving 2 teenagers a forever family – priceless!

Why are there two different families listed on this website?
MyAdoptionPage.com is the brainchild of Dan & Danielle Simpson, and Jim & Linda Deeming of Colorado. The Deemings invited the Simpsons to join them on a missions trip to Ukraine in 2005. This was the Deemings’ second trip to Ukraine, and the Simpsons’ first. As a result of these trips, the Deemings have successfully adopted two children, Lesa and Tema (sister and brother), and are still working on their adoption of Tanya. The Simpsons fell in love with Rimma and are adopting her and her brother, Yuri (Russian for George.)
It is the dream of both families to be able to develop this site as a resource and inspiration for other adopting families. Since the Simpson family is about to travel to Ukraine to finalize their adoption, the website is also being used to help them with their final fundraising.
In the future, we would love to have testimonies of other adopting families including photos and information. We cannot do everything for the orphans that we have met and love, but we can certainly try to promote adoption worldwide with every opportunity that God gives us.
How can I become involved in helping these orphans?
By praying for these families and orphans. Remember, every good thing comes from God.
Go and work with the orphans. Go to Ukraine, South Africa, or even just down the street. You will work with them to help change their lives, but they will be the ones to change yours. You can visit www.theleastofthese.org to learn more information about the trips that we have taken and look into joining one of their teams.
Donate to individuals trying to adopt, adoption organizations, and organizations that work with orphans or children in foster care. $10, $20, or even $10,000 can make a huge difference in the life of a child. Giving a child a new pair of shoes can generate the same reaction as presents under the tree on Christmas morning!
